🔥 What’s Hot in AI News:

YouTube vs. AI: Monetization War Begins July 15

Starting July 15, 2025, YouTube will stop giving ad money to videos that are mostly made by AI or automation. This new rule is part of a bigger change where YouTube wants to support content that feels original, creative, and made by real people. If a video is repetitive, mass-produced, or lacks a human touch, it may no longer qualify to earn money. YouTube says it’s doing this to reward quality content and protect viewers from low-effort, AI-generated videos. Creators who rely heavily on AI tools may need to rethink their strategy to keep earning on the platform.

Musk’s Grok 4 Outsmarts OpenAI and Google

Elon Musk has introduced Grok 4, the newest AI model from his company xAI, during a time of controversy and leadership changes, including reports of top executives leaving. Despite the turbulence, Musk says Grok 4 is a big leap in AI, beating models from OpenAI and Google in major tests. The update includes several versions: Grok 4 for general use, Grok 4 Code for developers, and Grok 4 Voice for realistic speech. A more advanced version called Grok 4 Heavy uses multiple AI agents working together, like a team, to get better results. It can also handle both text and images, and pulls real-time data from the internet using Musk’s X platform. Access starts at $30 per month, while the $300 "SuperGrok Heavy" plan offers early access to the most powerful features.

Google adds image-to-video generation capability to Veo 3

Google has added a new image-to-video feature to its Veo 3 AI video tool, now available in the Gemini app. This feature was first introduced in its Flow video tool in May. Google said that users can generate a clip by selecting the “Videos” option from the tool menu in the prompt box and uploading a photo. You can also add sound by describing the audio in the prompt. Once the video is generated, you can download it or share it with others.

OpenAI’s next big launch could be an AI web browser

OpenAI is preparing to launch a new AI-powered web browser in the coming weeks, according to Reuters. This browser is expected to include a built-in version of ChatGPT, so users can talk to the chatbot directly within the browser instead of visiting the OpenAI website. It may also feature OpenAI’s advanced “Operator” AI agent, which can perform tasks like booking restaurant reservations, filling out online forms, and navigating websites on behalf of the user—moving toward a more “agentic” experience where the AI acts more like a personal assistant. The browser will likely be built on Google’s open-source Chromium engine, which is used by popular browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Opera.
