🔥 What’s Hot in AI News:

OpenAI expands ChatGPT's memory to include full conversation history

OpenAI has introduced a new memory feature in ChatGPT that allows the model to remember and learn from past conversations. This means ChatGPT can provide more personalized and relevant responses by using information from previous chats. Unlike before, where it only remembered certain details like your name or preferences, the new memory allows ChatGPT to use the full context of past conversations. You have full control over what the model remembers. You can view, delete, or change the information it stores. If you prefer not to have a memory, you can turn off the feature in the settings. Additionally, if you had already chosen to opt out of memory, it won't be activated for you automatically. Temporary chats won't affect the memory, and you can adjust the memory settings to fit your preferences.

Google introduces Firebase Studio, an end-to-end platform that builds custom apps in-browser, in minutes

Google has launched Firebase Studio, a generative AI-powered platform that lets users quickly build and deploy custom apps, both for developers and non-developers. Using Gemini AI, it simplifies app creation with over 60 templates, natural language design tools, and support for various languages and frameworks. Firebase Studio streamlines coding workflows with features for testing, debugging, and documentation. Currently in preview, it offers three workspaces for regular users and 30 for Google Developer Program members. Early access is available to Gemini Code Assist agents for tasks like code migration and testing.

Canva is getting AI image generation, interactive coding, spreadsheets, and more

Canva is expanding its platform with a range of new AI-powered features. The company introduced Canva AI, an AI assistant capable of generating images based on user prompts, suggesting design ideas for social media or print collateral, writing copy, and creating documents. Additionally, Canva now supports Canva Code, which enables users to create interactive mini-apps like maps or custom calculators that can be integrated into their designs. These new capabilities are powered by a partnership with Anthropic. This marks a significant shift as Canva continues to integrate AI tools to enhance the design process, providing users with more versatile and efficient creative options.

Google Supercharges Its Gemini API

At Cloud Next, Google announced powerful new updates to its Gemini API, including the release of Gemini 2.5 Pro, its most advanced reasoning model now available in Google AI Studio and Vertex AI, and the upcoming Gemini 2.5 Flash for low-latency, cost-efficient performance with thinking capabilities. Veo 2, now production ready, allows developers to generate high-quality 720p videos up to 8 seconds long from text or images at $0.35 per second, enhancing creative workflows like those at Wolf Games. Additionally, the Live API entered Preview, enabling real-time streaming of audio, video, and text with expanded language support, customizable voice activity detection, and virtually infinite session handling—ideal for building interactive, human-like applications.
